Why write a prisoner?
These are people that are paying for their crime as society has seen fit. They need mail and "positive" human contact, just like you and I.
Is it safe to write a prisoner?
You can find more out about a prisoner than you can about your next door neighbor. We encourage you to investigate with state or federal prisons as to the nature of the crime the prisoner is convicted of and any other background information they would be able to provide you with.
How do I write a prisoner?
Pick up a pen and put it to paper. You MUST be 18 or older, and please, as with any pen pal, use common sense. Your pen pal will only know what you tell them and the information you send them about yourself. You can use a post office box for added privacy.
