To whom ever eyes that come to rest upon these words. My name is LaFaye Gaskins and whoever you are, I am pleased to make your acquaintance. Introducing myself to someone new is always a difficult endeavor. However, reaching out to new people is a universal human trait. We all seek the pursuit of happiness through meeting new people and finding new friends.
Please allow me to tell you a few things about myself in hopes that it will inspire you to respond to what you have read. I am a fun loving African American male, 41 years old, 6'2", 195 lbs., Brown skin brown eyes. If I had to describe myself to you in one word it would be multifaceted. I say this because I'm open-minded, ever-growing, acceptant of change, dynamic and never static. I am serious with hearty sense of humor and I like to laugh; but I don't play games with other people's feelings and sensibilities. I believe my best qualities are my ability to think under pressure, listen when necessary, be objective, have patience, and impart advice. I tend not to care about what other people think, for I am neither a person driven by ego nor led by trends. At the same time, I am a runner or so I have a lot of stamina and endurance; I don't give up. Whenever I start I finish and I never desert a friend. However, people say my worst quality is that I care too much. I believe in God generally, but I am not currently involved in an organized religion. Although, I'm open to becoming a believer; do you have what it takes to make me a believer, I invite you to try. I am health-conscious. I believe in healthy living: mind, body and spirit. I'm an avid reader and is always looking to learn new things. I pretty much read everything but mostly read nonfiction. My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I grew up one hip-hop and R&B but in my maturity I've migrated into jazz, some rock, even a little bit country. These qualities not withstanding, I am far from perfect; but I strive tirelessly for perfection. Now that I have given you a glimpse of who I am, I hope that you will reply and tell me who you are. I'm looking for that special woman with whom I can share my self, my thoughts, my secrets, my hopes, my fears, my vision for the future, and a friendship. If your curiosity has been sparked a new plan to reply, I look forward to embarking on a journey of us getting to know each other. If you do not plan to reply that I wish you all the best in whatever it is that you are seeking throughout the journey of your life.
